Frequently asked questions
Is it free?
Yes. You can create a calendar, download it as a PDF and add it to your mobile for free and without registering. All you need to do to save it is sign in via Google. Paid packages are for local authorities and administrators who want multiple calendars, their own logo or a calendar on their website.
Where can I find out the waste collection dates for my street?
The collection schedule is published by your local council or waste collection company – on their website, in the local newspaper or in a leaflet. Simply copy the days and frequency from it, for example, ‘mixed waste every Tuesday, paper on Wednesdays in even-numbered weeks’.
How do I add rubbish collection dates to my mobile so that I get a reminder?
Save the calendar and click on ‘Add to phone’. Rubbish collection dates will appear in your Google or Apple calendar, along with a reminder the evening before. If you edit the calendar later, the change will automatically appear on your mobile.
What if the rubbish collection is rescheduled due to a public holiday?
To change a specific date, click on the day in the preview. The change will be reflected in both the PDF and on mobile.
Can I send the calendar to my neighbours or post it on the council’s website?
Yes. A saved calendar has its own URL, which you can send to anyone – anyone can print it out or add it to their mobile. With the Pro package, local authorities can embed it directly onto their website.
How do I print the calendar on A4 paper?
Download the PDF and select ‘Actual size’ (100 per cent) when printing. The PDF is a fixed A4 size, so it will look the same on any printer.
